Dean watched her, his gaze never leaving the blonde near the bar, eyes turning to slits as the man standing next to Jo ordered her another drink. They were supposed to be at a movie, some chick flick in honor of their first girl’s night out and so he’d decided to kidnap the Angel and take him out for a night of drinking.
They got to the bar less than an hour ago and it had only taken him fifteen minutes to spot her and the red headed angel she was with. Castiel sighed as he glanced between Dean and the two women at the bar, voice cautious.
“Why do we not just go over there and say hello. I am sure Anna and Joanna would be happy to see us.”
Dean snorted before taking a sip of his beer and turning back to face Castiel. He shook his head. The poor guy just didn’t understand women. It looked like he was gonna have to spell it out for his angelic friend.
“Yeah, I’m sure they would be happy to see us if they hadn’t lied about where they were going.”
Castiel winced at Dean’s words. Did he have no faith in the women they loved? Maybe they just changed their plans. Surely Anna and Joanna would not have lied to them. He cleared his throat before speaking.
“Maybe they just changed their plans. Is that not possible?”
Dean shrugged eyes skimming back to the light haired guy hitting on his girlfriend. “It is, but from the looks of it this was planned. I swear those women are gonna turn us gray Cas…” He turned to his friend eyebrow raised. “Can angels go gray?”
Castiel opened his mouth, but before he could say anything Dean waved him off. “It doesn’t matter. What matters is they lied.”
Castiel’s eyes traveled back towards his girlfriend as she spoke animatedly to some tall man who was grinning at her strangely. He frowned as he watched the man reach out and touch Anna’s arm lightly and it suddenly dawned on him that he didn’t like seeing another person touch Anna.
“There is a man talking to Anna…and I believe I just saw him touch her arm.”
Dean’s gaze shifted to his the angel as he took another swig of beer. “Yeah…I can see that. You know what…two can play that game.”
Dean took inventory of the women in the bar and when he spotted a busty brunette and her blonde friend he grinned and motioned towards their table as he grabbed his beer. “Let’s go.”
Castiel gave Dean a hesitant look as he followed behind him. “I do not think this is the best idea.” Dean rolled his eyes. “Live a little would you Cas…besides our girlfriends seem to be slightly preoccupied at the moment…might as well make a new friend or two.”
Castiel watched as Dean smiled at the women and asked if they could join them, to which of course they said yes. Castiel couldn’t remember a time where any woman had said no to Dean, unless he counted Joanna of course.
Secretly Castiel was convinced that’s what attracted Dean to her. He glanced up, eyebrow raised when he heard his name. “I apologize…I did not hear you.”
Dean motioned to his friend’s beer, “Do you want another one?” Castiel glanced at his half-full bottle and shook his head. “No, that is alright. I still have some.”
The blonde giggled and ran a hand up Castiel’s arm making his body tense as he swallowed hard, her voice light, “Well aren’t you adorable…” Dean grinned when the Angel glanced at him with wide eyes. Oh, this was definitely going to be amusing.
_____
Jo smiled politely at the man in front of her who wouldn’t shut the hell up. When he’d first come over with his friend to talk up her and Anna she’d found it amusing so she’d encouraged the Angel to play along saying it would be fun to pretend to be someone normal for a change.
But the novelty had quickly worn off when he starting getting too touchy feely and telling her stories that she knew couldn’t possibly be true. She glanced at the red headed Angel next to her and shook her head slightly.
Anna had been hesitant to go along with her plan at first, but it seemed like the other woman was having quite a good time flirting with the dark haired guy in front her. Jo sighed, they had originally planned to go to the movies, but when they got there the movie had been sold out, so they decided to just hit up the bar not far from home.
Jo took another sip of her drink and rolled her eyes slightly as Brad…or Chad whatever his name was rambled on about some bar fight he’d recently been in. She glanced up meeting his eyes and opened her mouth about to tell him, he was boring her and she wasn’t interested when she caught sight of a familiar leather jacket out of the corner of her eye.
She paused turning her head slightly and what she saw made her see red. Dean was sitting at a table clearly flirting with some busty brunette while Castiel sat awkwardly next to him with some blonde chick running her hands up his arm.
Her eyes squinted as she took in the famous Winchester grin as he tilted his beer slightly and whispered something in the girl’s ear that made her laugh. Jo grit her teeth and was about to take a forward when she decided against it.
If Dean thought he could come to a bar and flirt with some skank just because she and Anna weren’t around for a night, he had another thing coming. Jo cut off whatever the guy in front of her was about to say when she moved her body forward, her hand falling on his chest.
She smirked, “How’d you like to head out on the dance floor…take this gal for a spin?” The blonde haired man grinned at her.
“Sure thing sweet cheeks…I’ll go put on some tunes and come back for you.” Jo nodded as he moved away before she glanced at Anna. The red head arched an eyebrow and Jo motioned toward the table Dean and Castiel were at. Anna’s eyes followed Jo’s line of vision and she straightened slightly, a frown marring her face.
“What are they doing here?”
Jo shrugged, “I don’t know, but he’s about to wish he weren’t here.” Anna glanced at Jo and sighed lightly. “Jo…don’t do anything stupid.”
She gave Anna a look of disbelief, “Are you kidding? Look at them. How are you not pissed. That girl's got her hands all over Cas.”
Anna shrugged as she frowned over at the table several feet away. “I’m sure there’s a good explanation…” Jo snorted, “Right…well you wait for that explanation…me, I’m gonna show Dean what happens when his eyes wonder…”
Before Anna could say anything ‘Shook Me All Night Long’ by ACDC started blaring through the speakers. Jo smirked at Anna before the guy she’d been talking to cam back and held out a hand. She took it and let him pull her onto the dance floor.
Anna pursed her lips, as she watched Jo laugh while the blonde spun her around the room, completely ignoring his friend now. She let out a light sigh as she noticed Dean and Castiel glance up at the commotion; this was so not going to end well.
_____
Dean was in the midst of talking to the brunette in front of him, Alice or Alicia…something with an ‘A’ when he heard the first strands of one of his favorite songs echo through the bar. He glanced up and fury settled on his face. She had to be fucking kidding him…
Was she really out there dancing with some wannabe badass? Dean was done playing games and when he pushed his chair back, metal scrapping against the ground harshly Castiel stood quickly beside him. He reached out a hand to his friends arm.
“Do not do anything rash.”
Dean shrugged off Castiel’s hand and moved forward as spoke over his shoulder, “Rash my ass…we’re going home…and we’re taking them with us.”
Castiel shook his head and sighed as he watched Dean make his way towards the middle of the room before excusing himself from the girls at the table and walking over to Anna. She spotted him and gave him a tight smile before glancing in the direction he’d just come from.
“Making new friends?”
Castiel arched an eyebrow at her tone, “Dean thought it would be a good idea since you and Joanna seemed preoccupied.” He let his voice trail off and a look of surprise crossed her face as she realized that they’d been there longer than she and Jo had thought.
“You saw us first?”
He nodded. Anna smirked, “And so Dean deiced it would be a good idea to flirt with other woman to get our attention?”
Castiel pursed his lips together but didn’t answer not wanting to get his friend in trouble. Anna shook her head and motioned toward Jo as Dean finally made his presence known. “What do you say we leave them to it and go home…?”
Anna shifted so her body was pressed against Castiel’s and he shrugged lightly looking at her, their eyes meeting as he spoke in a clipped tone. “Are you certain you wouldn’t rather go home with him?” He waved towards the man she’d been talking to earlier and the red head grinned as she wrapped an arm around him.
“Are you jealous Cas?”
He frowned, “Of course not…I was just making an observation of your actions…” Her grin widened as she pulled him towards the door. “Mmhm sure you were…come on let’s go home and I’ll show you just how much I missed you tonight.”
Castiel grinned and nodded before glancing towards the middle of the room at an angry looking Dean. It would definitely be best for him and Anna to leave. Their friend wouldn’t mind, he was too busy at the moment anyway.
As they disappeared through the exit, Dean made his presence known. “What in the hell are you doin’ Jo?”
The guy paused in his movements turning towards Dean and frowned. “Hey…back off man…she’s with me.”
Dean arched an eyebrow at the blonde man in jeans and a t-shirt. He waved him off, voice filled with sarcasm, “Sure she is Rambo…how about you move along…'cause I think you’re confused.”
Jo smirked at Dean’s behavior as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. She opened her mouth to ask Dean what was wrong when Brad or Chad…whatever his name was lashed out, throwing a fist at Dean. Jo’s eyes widened as Dean stopped the other man’s fists and slammed his into his face.
The guy dropped like a fly and Jo’s jaw dropped before her eyes turned up and glared at Dean, the whole bar silent, unsure of what had just happened. “What the hell did you do that for?”
Dean glared at his girlfriend, “Really? I’ve been sitting here for the past forty minutes watching you flirt with this took…drink with him…let him touch you…and you want to know what my problem is?”
Jo shrugged and motioned to a table behind him as she yelled, “Well I wouldn’t have been flirting with him if someone didn’t think that girl’s night out meant you could go bar hopping and pick up sleazy brunettes.” There was a disgruntled sound that came from behind Dean, but he ignored it and rolled his eyes.
“I was only talkin’ to her because you were at the bar flirting with this douche.” He motioned to the unconscious man on the floor. Jo froze raising an eyebrow at Dean, curiosity in her voice. “How long have you been here?”
“Long enough to see you weren’t at the movies where you were supposed to be…”
A sly smirk slid onto Jo’s face as she took a step towards Dean, her hands sliding up his arms and around his neck. “Were you spying on me Deano?”
He snorted, his arms automatically coming to rest on her hips. “No…I was taking Cas out for some drinks since you and Anna were doing your girl thing…thought we could have some guy time and then I see you with him…”
“Jealous?”
He pursed his lips together as he pulled her closer, warm breath against her ear, not willing to admit to anything. “Don’t push your luck…I think it’s time you and I had a little quality time…”
Jo chuckled, “Green looks good on you slugger…”
He nudged her forward towards the exit and rolled his eyes. “More walkin’ less talkin’…”
Jo grinned eyeing Dean as they made their way outside; “Well…that was definitely a girl’s night gone wrong…”
“No kidding, you think.” Dean opened the car door for her and made a mental note to never let her and Anna leave the house together again
I loved it!! think maybe you could write a sequel? about what happens when they actually get to the motel room? maybe dean could punish Jo for her bad behavior? :)
