Dean rolled over and groaned.
“Rise and shine sleeping beauty.”
Sam pulled the curtains open and Dean buried his face in the pillow. His head was pounding and the bright light from outside made him want to claw his eyes out. His voice was raspy when he spoke.
“Ugh…what the hell Sammy? Shut the damn window.”
Sam frowned at his brother, sat on the bed across from him, and pulled on his shoes.
“You gotta get up man it’s already after one. We’re all supposed to meet up at Bobby’s to check in. We’re already gonna be late.”
Dean pouted slightly and flipped onto his back, blinking several times before sitting up slowly. He grabbed the side of his head as the room spun and his stomach plummeted. He put his other hand against his stomach and groaned.
“What in the hell happened last night?”
“What do you remember?”
Dean looked up at Sam eyes squinting, confusion on his face.
“Salting and burning some pricks bones in the backyard of a house?”
Sam nodded.
“Sounds about right. After that you decided since it was Valentine’s Day we should get drunk and pick up women.”
Dean smirked, nodded, and then winced at the quick movement.
“With a hangover like this tell me I at least made the rounds and hooked up with more than one chick before I crashed and burned.”
Sam smirked.
“Actually after downing several suspicious looking pink shots, turns out your inner man-whore only wanted one particular woman.”
Dean froze, swallowed hard, and let out a nervous chuckle.
“Oh yeah?”
“Uh huh.”
Sam stood up and pulled on his jacket as Dean waited for his brother to elaborate. When he didn’t he glared at him.
“What…that’s it? And who’s this mystery woman I couldn’t get off my mind?”
Sam gave Dean an incredulous look.
“Really Dean, you’re gonna try to play it off like you don’t know who I’m talking about? Cause you’re not fooling anyone and word of advice, you might want to call Jo back and apologize for last night.”
Dean’s face paled.
“Oh crap…what’d I do?”
Sam chuckled at the panic on his brother’s face.
“I didn’t catch all of it, but I think you said something about fucking her into tomorrow with pink and red hearts or balloons? Who knows. Oh, I do distinctly remember you saying something about red condoms though.”
Dean dropped his head into his hands.
“Christ, was she mad?”
Sam shrugged.
“Dunno, you got her voicemail.”
His head jerked up a look of horror crossing his face.
“You’re telling me not only did I drunk dial Jo, but I told her I wanted to fuck her with hearts and red condoms and she has proof that I did it?”
“Yup. I’m gonna gas up the car and then we need to head out. Get dressed and since Jo’s gonna be at Bobby’s you might wanna make that call before we leave.”
As the door closed behind Sam, Dean plopped back down on the bed. How was he gonna get himself out of this one?
*****
Six hours later they were walking up the steps of Bobby’s front porch. Dean had tried calling Jo twice, but no luck, which meant she was probably pissed. Sam knocked on the door and less than a minute later it was pulled open revealing Ellen, smile on her face.
“You boys are late.”
“Sorry princess over here needed his beauty rest.”
Dean glared at his brother as they made their way inside. He spotted Jo, face scrunched up as she tossed her cards down on the table while Bobby chuckled.
“Ya can’t bullshit a bullshitter. I been playin’ this game since before you were alive Jo.”
She pouted and as they turned toward the sound and when her eyes met his Dean had the decency to blush slightly as he rubbed the back of his neck.”
“Bobby…Jo.”
She gave him a small smile before turning back to shuffle the cards. She didn’t seem mad and that both worried and confused him. Bobby stood and patted him on the back before moving into the kitchen to help Ellen get some drinks.
They spent the next twenty minutes sitting in the living room catching up and comparing hunts. When the conversation died down Dean excused himself so he could use the bathroom. He walked through Bobby’s kitchen and closed the bathroom door behind him.
As he unbuttoned his pants the door was pushed open. He turned and before he could say anything Jo’s lips were against his. It took him a minute to realize what was happening as he wrapped his arms around her and pushed her up against the door making it slam shut.
She tasted like beer and pie and he groaned in her mouth. When they broke apart both breathing heavy, Dean raised an eyebrow at her.
“Not that I’m complaining, but what was that for?”
She smirked and lifted her hips brushing against him as she reached into her back pocket. Dean groaned and his grip on her hips tightened as she pressed something into his chest. He frowned, moved back, and lifted the small package off his chest.
In his hand he held a single red condom. His head shot up and he could see the amusement dancing behind her eyes.
“Well, there’s your red condom sweetheart. Sorry I couldn’t find any hearts and balloons. How’s about we move on to the fucking me ‘til tomorrow part?”
Dean dropped his head to her shoulder, mumbling against it as Jo chuckled
“I’m never gonna live this down am I?”
“Not a chance princess.”
